Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team.
The person in this position will be responsible for processing US
payroll and vendor invoices in a timely manner. The ideal candidate
will possess an in-depth knowledge of US payroll rules and
regulations and the ability to identify process improvements within
Workday, our HRIS system.Primary Payroll
Responsibilities:Responsible for managing all aspects of the
company payrollElectronically transmit payroll on a bi-weekly
scheduleMonitor payroll registers, employee timecards and quarterly
tax filings within the Workday systemIn coordination with the Human
Resources department, administer employee leaves, benefits and
compensation changesRegister the company with new states as needed
while maintaining tax codes and workers compensation rates within
WorkdayCoordinate year-end tax reporting of W-2s and 1099sPrimary
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:Enter vendor invoices with the
proper general ledger account and cost center into SAPGenerate
weekly payment of vendor invoicesInvestigate and resolve billing
discrepancies and/or vendor disputesCompile necessary approval
documentation prior to payment processingAssist in month end
reconciliation processRequired Qualifications and
Experience:Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred4+ years
of payroll processing experienceProficiency in Microsoft Excel
functions requiredExperience with financial software SAP and
Workday preferredAbility to perform in a fast-paced environment
with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlinesHighly
organized with keen attend to detailStrong written and verbal
