Lead Knowledge Analyst - Technology Advantage (Sourcing) (The
Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Boston, Massachusetts): Partner with
consulting teams to identify critical knowledge needs and apply sourcing,
cloud and IT infrastructure topic expertise to perform industry research,
provide analytics-based strategic insights, and then develop business
solutions that enable organizations to gain a competitive advantage.
Specific duties include: act as a thought partner for problem solving and
provide topic expertise in sourcing, cloud and IT infrastructure domains for
client work including client facing delivery; collaborate with global topic
leaders and experts to simultaneously manage multiple topics across work
streams such as content development, business development and proposal
submission; support the BCG sourcing, cloud and IT infrastructure leadership
teams with updates and insights including activity, pipeline, and marketing
support; support lead large project teams and resources across topics,
functions, cohorts, business units and geographies to build new BCG IP,
tools, products and databases; support KT team members on sourcing,
cloud and IT Infrastructure projects; review and assess the relevancy of
documents in existing topic or sector-related knowledge base; contribute to
the identification and development of new products (e.g. benchmarks)
with the core topic leadership teams; collaborate on intellectual
capital development and contribute to content development for Technology
Advantage PA meetings and trainings; scope knowledge needs of case teams
and liaise with Knowledge and Research teams to address them; and conduct
sourcing health check, cloud adoption and transformation, and IT
Infrastructure diagnostics using BCG’s proprietary tools and frameworks.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related
field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and six (6)
years of experience performing advanced research and analysis within the
technology sourcing domain to optimize companies’ technical capabilities.
Specific skills/other requirements – must possess the following: (i)
designing and developing sourcing strategies (6 years); (ii) developing
proprietary tools and databases aimed at supporting IT benchmarking requirements
(6 years); (iii) advising clients on IT cost reduction topic by applying
levers including outsourcing, demand management, supplier management,
workforce optimization, technology standardization, centralization and
IT organization (5 + years); (iv) setting up a shared services
organization or center of excellence for support functions including finance,
HR, procurement and IT (5 + years); (v) project management and
leading teams for developing specialized knowledge (4+ years); (vi) IT
Infrastructure diagnostics, benchmarks, audits and assessments aimed at finding
areas of improvement including unit cost reduction and service levels
improvement across service towers such as servers, mainframes, storage,
helpdesk and networks (4 + years); (vii) designing as well as governance of a
retained IT organization (4 + years); (viii) helping clients to formulate
their cloud adoption and migration strategy (4 + years); and (ix)
defining location strategy and designing the requisite frameworks,
methodologies and tools (4 + years). Must also possess: ITIL Foundation
Certificate or another certification for IT management processes from either
COBIT, IT-CMF, CMF, eTOM, FitSM, or MOF. Must have unrestricted authorization
to work in U.S. M CMF, CMF, eTOM, FitSM, or MOF. Must have unrestricted authorization
