There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.Job DescriptionJob Description SummaryThe Lead Quality Management Specialist is responsible for product quality review associated with customer contractual and GE quality system requirements. We are looking for a seasoned individual with a deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used to assure customer satisfaction and compliance to quality system. This individual should also have a level of expertise in the technological field including the quality assurance of products, services and manufacturing processes.In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.You will be supporting both military and commercial engine lines across LATO.Roles and ResponsibilitiesServe as focal for the implementation of customer contractual requirements of production and development enginesLead continuous improvement initiatives to implement changes to procedures to lead process improvementsCoordinate with Customer, Project, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve customer findingsLead Investigations related to quality issues - create 4 blockers describing investigation/action status - present to plant leader at bi-weekly quality meetingBecome certified in military customer requirement systems and achieve clearances neededOperate as a data system expert , develop and provide training to broader Lynn Engine Assembly focalsIdentify/implement corrective actions for quality issuesAssure compliance to local quality control instructions and business policies. Update and or create quality procedures.Serve as focal for internal and external audits (DoD, DNV, FAA, etc.)Support and Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis eventsSupport Quality CCC, present quality metricsInput and influence decisions within own discipline and areaSolve issues and develop new and innovative approaches to problem solvingRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsDemonstrated ability to lead projectsKnowledge and ability to navigate varying computer systems, and well versed in current technologyEstablished project management skillsAS9100 knowledge and experienceAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyAbility to influence othersGeometric dimensioning and tolerance experienceAbility to read engineering drawings and specificationsThis role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
