Job Description:
The Money Management Services Specialist collaborates with the
Money Management Services Manager to coordinate Element Care's
Organizational Representative Payee Program. Perform routine
financial and administrative duties as well as creatively resolve
more complex problems. While balancing attention to detail, also
understand the bigger picture so that you can cover when the
Manager is not available. Balance the requirements of the Social
Security Administration with the needs of the EC participants who
participate in the Rep Payee program. Supports other EC
departments, including Social Work and Plan Eligibility, in meeting
the needs of the participant. This position is part time 24-32
hrs/wk. Specific hours TBD.
Essential Responsibilities:
Visit banks to make deposits and cash checks
Deliver cash to participants at EC sites and in their homes if they
are unable access banks by themselves
Shop online and in-store for participants as necessary
Contact the Social Security Administration and other governmental
agencies to obtain benefit letters, notify them of reportable
events and resolve outstanding issues
Call vendors with/without participants to resolve problems
Complete monthly bank reconciliation, process bills and prepare
rent checks
Learn RPM software - Representative Payee Manager
Update and maintain accurate, detailed records
In manager's absence, ensure that calls and requests for
information are handled appropriately
Performs other duties as required
