*Northern Light Mercy Hospital**Department: *Pharmacy*Position is located: *Portland, Maine*Work Type: *Full Time 40 Hours per Week 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM*Requirements:** Bachelor's Degree* Valid Maine Pharmacist License* 5 Years of Hospital Pharmacy Experience*Summary: *Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead and oversee all aspects of our hospital pharmacy operations. The Director will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services across the hospital, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards, and advancing clinical pharmacy practices. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong clinical knowledge, operational expertise, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a mission-driven healthcare organization dedicated to serving the greater Portland community.*Responsibilities:** Works with hospital administration on planning, organizing and directing pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.* Monitors activities of the Pharmaceutical Services Department and takes appropriate action as necessary to ensure efficient and effective operation.* Works closely with the nursing and medical staffs and other clinical department managers in addressing pharmaceutical services issues as they are related to the services provided to all patients ranging from the newborn to the elderly.
