Job Description:
New England Biolabs offers paid summer internship opportunities
for students to gain real-world experience in the biotechnology
industry. These internships are designed for students currently
attending undergraduate college or students entering college in
Fall 2023. Interns are involved in projects related to business
operations, including Marketing, IT, Customer Service, Technical
Support, and Environmental Health and Safety, and receive
supervision from the NEB employee to which they are
assigned.Eligibility:
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate college or 2023 high
school graduates entering an academic program pursuing a bachelor's
degree in the Fall of 2023.
- Interns must be authorized to work in the United States.Time
frame:
- The application process for summer internships opens in
mid-January and extends through the end of February 2023.
- Resume review, candidate interviews (phone), and candidate
selections occur between late January - mid-March.
- Interns may work between May - August 2023.Program Highlights:
- Interns are invited to attend internal and external weekly
seminars. The purpose of the in-house seminar is
toprovidestudentswith an overview of NEBresearch and development
and to help interns see how their projects fit into the
bigpicture.Theexternalseminars, presented
byinvitedspeakers,exposestudentstovarious scientific fields.
- Interns are given the opportunity to present their summer work
in a formal talk or at a poster session to the NEB community in
