Job Description:

The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Retrieval Specialist retrieves medical documentation through high volume outbound calls to medical offices and electronically accessing multiple medical facilities EMR system. This position is full time M-F 8am to 4pm with no weekend or holiday hours. Essential Responsibilities:

• Exceptional phone presence while making designated number of outbound calls daily for document and test retrieval. Manages incoming/out-going phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Utilizes computer skills for secure HIPAA compliant access to multiple EMR systems for document retrieval.
• Tracks for clinical documentation in a timely manner; specialist consults notes/ diagnostic testing, including contact with specialist offices.
• Reports and follow up on outstanding clinical documentation.
• Adheres to the EMR standards, practices and policies for the CMR Department.
• Supports the CMR department during the CMS audit.
• Performs other duties as required. Job Specification:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and EHR experience preferred
  • Strong clerical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent phone etiquette
  • Strong Customer Service
  • HIPAA knowledgeable
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with medical records terminology preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Covid vaccine.
