Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Endoscopy Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Endoscopy RN Position Location District of Columbia Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule or Shift The Endoscopy RN will work a rotating schedule of 9 hours with potential shifts starting at either 6:30 am or 8:30 am, concluding by 6:00 pm. Flexibility in scheduling may include start times of 7:00 am or 7:30 am. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN to join our team. This role requires the RN to provide conscious sedation and monitor patients in the procedure room. The position involves performing ERCPs, with no floating required to other departments. Responsibilities Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients throughout the procedure. Start IVs and assess patient health status pre- and post-procedure. Document all necessary information in the electronic medical records (EPIC). Provide post-procedure recovery care for patients. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an Endoscopy unit at a large teaching facility. AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required; AHA PALS certification is preferred. Experience with EPIC from within the past 2 years is mandatory. Prior travel nursing experience is required.
