Job Description:
Join PowerBack Rehabilitation, a leader in post-hospital care,
as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This position offers
the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, focused environment
where the goal is to help patients regain independence
post-surgery, injury, or illness. As a COTA at PowerBack
Rehabilitation, you will work under the guidance of licensed
occupational therapists to implement rehabilitation treatments and
interventions. You will actively assist patients in exercises and
activities, helping them to improve their ability to handle daily
functions and tasks. Our recovery model is tailored and intense,
offering a supportive team environment where professional growth is
encouraged. Implement patient therapy plans under the direction of
occupational therapists Assist patients with exercises and
activities designed to help them regain functional abilities
Monitor patient progress and provide updates to the supervising
occupational therapist Maintain patient records and documentation
in compliance with healthcare regulations Educate patients and
their families on post-treatment home exercises and adjustments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow
detailed therapy plans Physical stamina to assist and support
patients Good observational skills and attention to detail Ability
to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certification from the
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
State licensure or certification to practice as a COTA CPR and
First Aid certified
