The person in this position will be responsible for processing US payroll and vendor invoices in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of US payroll rules and regulations and the ability to identify process improvements within Workday, our HRIS system.Primary Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the company payroll
  • Electronically transmit payroll on a bi-weekly schedule
  • Monitor payroll registers, employee timecards and quarterly tax filings within the Workday system
  • In coordination with the Human Resources department, administer employee leaves, benefits and compensation changes
  • Register the company with new states as needed while maintaining tax codes and workers compensation rates within Workday
  • Coordinate year-end tax reporting of W-2s and 1099s Primary Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
    • Enter vendor invoices with the proper general ledger account and cost center into SAP
    • Generate weekly payment of vendor invoices
    • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and/or vendor disputes
    • Compile necessary approval documentation prior to payment processing
    • Assist in month end reconciliation processRequired Qualifications and Experience:
      • Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred
      • 4+ years of payroll processing experience
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions required
      • Experience with financial software -- SAP and Workday preferred
      • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
      • Highly organized with keen attend to detail
