We are seeking an experience d Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the Department of War ( DoW ) by assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experience d engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure secure and scalable network operations across enterprise and tactical environments. What You'll Do: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and data center connectivity. Participate in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of wireless LANs, controllers, and access points. Support the analysis of packet data using tools such as Wireshark. Work on network health assessments and performance tuning. C ond uct and document cybersecurity vulnerability scans to help ensure compliance with DoW standards. Develop and maintain basic documentation, network diagrams, and technical designs under the guidance of senior engineers. Provide first-line support to troubleshoot and resolve network issues across enterprise and tactical environments. Learn and implement DoW cybersecurity compliance standards and Security Technical Implementation Guides ( STIGs ) . Join us. The world can’t wait. You Have: 4 years of experience in IT or networking roles Experience with networking tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP / IP, DHCP, ARP, HTTP, and SNMP Knowledge of routing and switching technologies Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices Ability to create and interpret basic network diagrams and documentation Ability to travel up to 50% of the time Secret clearance HS diploma or GED IAT Level I Certification Nice If You Have: Experience with wireless networking technologies or tools such as Aruba or Cisco wireless Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies Knowledge of cloud networking environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Knowledge of scripting or automation, including Python or Ansible Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field CompTIA Network, CCNA, or CompTIA Security Certification s Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
