Under the direction of the Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist and working as a team liaison with HR Business Partners, the Talent Acquisition Specialist Senior is responsible for providing professional support in the sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and selection of a qualified workforce in support of designated business units. This position will recruit for the most complex and hard-to-fill openings through Director-level, as well as highly technical jobs requiring specialized expertise in developing new sources for candidates. The TA Specialist Senior possesses finely-honed negotiation skills that ensure candidates are managed through the application process successfully. This individual will serve as a mentor to Talent Acquisition Specialists and TA Coordinators.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Executes the full lifecycle recruiting process for complex and executive level positions by first - developing a targeted sourcing strategy that leverages a variety of tools/resources including Internet/Web, social media, database, college recruiting, community organizations, agency partnerships, internal and external networking, and other techniques. Qualifies candidates via screening, interviewing, and participating in the selection of final candidates. Negotiates offers (in conjunction with the Hiring Manager and compensation as appropriate) and provides guidance and recommendations in the areas of relocation, sign-on bonuses etc. Ensures that administrative and compliance requirements are completed in a timely manner via the ATS and other systems.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of long and short-term sourcing and hiring strategies for the most challenging and hard-to-fill openings. Develops an understanding and broad working knowledge of the competitive marketplace and utilizes this specialized knowledge to refine sourcing strategies, provide consultative partnership to the business, and ensure seamless service while managing expectations.
  • Manages relationships with schools, professional associations, and other organizations to build new networks of appropriate sources for hire. Represents Tufts Health Plan at Job Fairs, Open Houses, and College Recruiting events.
  • Serves as a mentor/coach to more junior members of the team. Provides training and guidance to other team members as needed/assigned. Assists the Lead, TA Specialist in the execution of development plans for other team members. Acts as a supervisor for the team in the absence of the Lead TA Specialist.
  • Under the direction of the Manager. Talent Acquisition and/or Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist, works on projects, task forces, committees etc. that contribute to process improvement or otherwise advance the goals and objectives of Talent Acquisition and Human Resources at Tufts Health Plan.JOB QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESEDUCATION: (Minimum education & certifications required)
    • Bachelors degree or equivalentEXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)
      • Minimum of 5 years experience recruiting for professional level positions with previous healthcare recruiting preferred.
      • Must possess working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.SKILL REQUIREMENTS: (Include interpersonal skills)
        • Must demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking skills.
        • Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of internal and external customers. Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member.
        • Must possess advanced influencing and negotiating skills as well as the ability to facilitate a collaborative hiring process, balancing the needs of all participantsWORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel, overtime)
          • Fast-paced office environment handling multiple demands. Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary.
