Job Description:
Working as a member of the NGS Applications and Product
Development Department at New England Biolabs (NEB), this
individual will be focused on the development of cutting-edge
technology for next-generation sequencing applications.Primary
Responsibilities:Develop next-generation sequencing sample prep
methods, both by utilizing standard molecular biology processes and
creating novel solutionsCollaborate with colleagues across the
company (research, production, marketing, etc.) to successfully
develop and launch productsCoordinate and support all stages of the
transition of new products from development to product release,
such as validating processes, establishing quality controls,
setting launch dates, coordinating beta testing, writing protocols,
and aiding marketing and business development groups in preparation
of product launchesProvide technical support for existing
productsStay current with market needs and productsActively engage
with customers to address technical needs or concernsPresent
findings to internal and external customers/collaborators at
conferencesRequired Qualifications and Experience:PhD in
biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field with minimum 2
years' experience with next-generation sequencing preferredStrong
data analysis and molecular biology experienceResearch and
development experience with RNA and DNA library preparationStrong
organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple
projectsProven analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work
independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, in a
fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication
skills, in both formal and informal settingsCustomer support
experience and mindset preferredScientific enthusiasm and
