Job Description Summary The Lead Engineer will have Systems
Engineering oversight and responsibility for technical and program
execution of T408 Development Test programs. As Development Test
Leader, you will work with Project Managers, Engine Platform
Leaders, the Engineering Program Manager, Assembly and Test to meet
required program milestones, deliverables, and cost. You will also
coordinate closely with Supply Chain to ensure timely hardware
availability and integration with Production demand. Customer
communication of progress against program milestones will also be
required. The Development test lead may own an engine test to
augment their work scope and grow their career, as bandwidth
permits. The role has some autonomy and is focused on execution of
activities within an operating discipline covered by standard
functional practices and procedures. Some judgment will be required
but this is typically with guidance. Job Description Roles and
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrated schedule for T408 development test
programs
- Coordinate across business horizontals to balance resources
between development and production
- Provide status of development test programs both internal and
external (Navy) customer
- Execute systems engine ownership as assigned by test asset or
test mission.
- Influence, with guidance, the test strategy for efficient test
planning
- Coordinate across engineering organizations (design, test, and
systems) to achieve success
- Participate in proposal activity for annual contract
renewals
- Ensure test design review processes are followed and coordinate
test support, and team facilitation for test plan execution
- Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and
flow down.
- Drives validation and verification activities for the overall
product/system, including system level testing.
- Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this
understanding to accomplish own work.
- In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with
other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose
different solutions outside of set parameters but with
guidance.
- Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve
straightforward tasks.
- Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required
to solve problems.
- May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive
at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor
with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can
hire and develop talent.

- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in systems engineeringDesired
