Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Lund seeks a compassionate and
collaborative Family Educator to join our Residential Treatment
Program. This role supports parents and their children during a
pivotal time in their lives, helping families strengthen
relationships, build parenting confidence, and lay a foundation for
long?term stability and well?being. The Family Educator works
directly with parenting individuals in our residential program,
offering individualized education and guidance grounded in child
development and family systems. Through developmental screenings,
hands-on parenting education, and connections to early childhood
and family support services, the Family Educator supports parents
in understanding and responding to their children’s emotional,
developmental, and physical needs. This work is closely connected
to Children’s Integrated Services and emphasizes collaboration,
individualized support, and coordination with both residential and
community-based partners. In addition to one?on?one support, the
Family Educator brings families together through facilitating
weekly parent education classes and group socialization
opportunities. These groups create space for learning,
relationship?building, and peer support, helping parents feel less
isolated and more confident in their roles. The Family Educator
collaborates closely with the Residential Treatment Team, the
Community Home Visiting team, and community partners to promote
healthy parent–child attachment and positive family outcomes. The
role also includes supporting parents as they navigate and
collaborate with systems such as the Department for Children and
Families (DCF) and Family Court. At its core, this position is
about meeting families where they are, celebrating their strengths,
and walking alongside them as they grow. The role includes one
adjusted shift per week, intentionally designed to allow the Family
Educator to be present during meaningful parent–child moments and
deepen relationship?focused support. This is a full-time, 40 hours
a week position at our residential treatment program location. The
rate of pay for this position is $25/hr. For the full job

marginalized groups—such as BIPOC, LGBTQ, women, people with
disabilities, and those from working-class backgrounds—often
hesitate to apply for jobs unless they can see themselves meeting
and performing every responsibility and requirement. However, many
skills can be learned on the job. If you can see yourself adding
value to the role, our clients, staff, and guests and meeting most
of the responsibilities and qualifications, we encourage you to
apply! What You Will Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood
Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, along with
experience working with teens, children, and families. Ability to
collaborate with other professional disciplines, participate in
treatment planning, support court?related processes as needed, and

communication, and de?escalation skills, with sound judgment and a
commitment to confidentiality. Produce thorough documentation of
services and ability to meet reporting deadlines as outlined by the
Residential Program and Children’s Integrated Services. Possess
flexibility and adaptability to change within program structure.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or
